In this case study, the cleaner and sanitiser will be used on dairy farms to clean and sanitise milking machinery, tankers and milk factory equipment. Because it is intended for use on the dairy farm the product will be considered an agricultural chemical by the APVMA. Therefore, the product will need to be registered with the APVMA prior to being supplied to the Australian market.
The landscape flow chart presented below is a representative example of the requirements, predominantly APVMA, expected to apply throughout the pre-market life cycle (Scoping, Design, Development and Evaluation) of an on-farm dairy cleaner and sanitiser. After evaluation by the APVMA the product can be supplied in Australia.
